Love keeps flowing out of the kitchen everyday at Toro Loco Restaurant in Sosua.
Tonight, I had the Lamb Chops for dinner. This dish can be found on the Steak, Seafood, Lamb, Ribs menu.
I have to say with enthusiasm (and it isn’t because I’m Toro himself and obviously biased)… this is by far one of the better dishes on the menu.
Absolutely delicious.
And the Whiskey Peppercorn sauce – deeep and rooty but yet some zing for the taste buds! Perfecto😋.
Along with the Lam Chops I had a Caesar Salad (homemade from scratch Caesar dressing and oven baked croutons), and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. All excellent.
All in $1850 RD including the 28% taxes.
Last night I had the Scallops (article and photos here)… it’s hard to say which is better, both are top shelf choices.
My friend had a mixed plate of Atlantic Salmon, fried Calamari (non battered) and Shrimp (this also was a top contender for a favourite). The selections on this plate were requested as a dish by the guest as it is not specifically presented on the menu this way. All the selections are available in other variations of dishes on the menu however.
The Whiskey Peppercorn Sauce might be a bit much for some folks, but the Chimchurri (also served and in photo) is wonderful anytime. Our Chef’s kitchen also has other Artisan Sauces for our meats to choose from (click here).
Come give us a try, you might find yourself as pleased as myself.
Yours truly,
Toro
